Thanksgiving is that time of year when we sit down and be grateful for the things and the people we have in our lives that makes us happy. It’s a grand old time to be had with friends, family, and lots of good food, but when you’re a young child, you just want to have fun during the holidays. Now, if you want to do something that will make your kids really grateful for you, then you’ve come to the right place! In this article, we’re going to tell you how to host a legendary Thanksgiving party.
Food is a big part of the holiday, but don’t feel the need to make it all yourself. Most pies last 3-4 days in the fridge, so make them the weekend before. If you want to serve them warm, throw them in the oven a few minutes before serving and no one will know they aren't fresh.
You may make cranberry sauce days ahead and serve it cold. You may make your sweet potato casserole a day or two in advance, except for the marshmallows. Avoid adding anything that could make them mushy. This will save you a lot of time on Thanksgiving day.
If you are anxious about preparing food for a large group, keep the event casual and have people help themselves when the food is ready. This will ensure that you have a good time at your own party. As a result, you'll feel less stressed and be able to enlist the assistance of more people.
As a bonus, you can use your backyard or any open space to do this! Just make sure you have enough tables and chairs for this garden party–we at Kidz Play are always happy to provide them. Kids will always enjoy the outdoors and by playing into that, you will make this party truly special.
It would be a nice gesture to provide extra attention to the children's table so that they can have a great time and create their own lasting memories. Create a festive atmosphere in the kids' area of your Thanksgiving celebration by having them make a beautiful leaf garland out of construction paper.
If you’re stressed about this, don’t be! Let them decorate it themselves, however they see fit. The innate creativity of children will be enough to turn this activity into something special. Since we provide lots of chairs and tables for events, we have seen first-hand just how much they enjoy this! You can’t go wrong.
A scavenger hunt might be a great Thanksgiving activity for youngsters. Rally the troops, and announce the identity of a common household object. The round is won by the player who returns with the desired item the quickest. There is no better way to work off those extra dessert calories!
If you need tables and chairs, give us a call! At Kidz Play, we’ve got all of your party needs covered - not just tables and chairs, but also bouncy houses and slides when the weather gets warmer next year.
